NeuroSketching
Neurographica® Algorithm#4
Learn to use Neurographica® as a way to explore the world around you.
NeuroSketching is more than just drawing. With this method, we can include photographs, pictures, maps, and other objects in the drawings. We use drawing to communicate with the world around us in a visual way. We explore objects and connect to their essence in a deeper way, and gain deeper understanding through the art process.
In this course, we practice Neurographica as a style of drawing and sketching. We practice drawing faster, observing with more focus, distinguishing between important and unimportant aspects of the image, and much more. NeuroSketching can help you lose your inhibitions when you are creating.
This course helps to develop your drawing skills and will allow you to experiment with many different images, artworks, and photographs of people or places. Also, you will learn to use NeuroNoting as a way to visually capture and present the contents of lectures, talks, or your own thinking.
Make your first NeuroSketch with this free introductory class.
Prerequisite for the Course: You have successfully completed the Neurographica® Basics Course with me or another licensed teacher. You have gained the Certificate of Completion for the Neurographica® Basics Course.
What this course offers?
The NeuroSketching course offers several different methods of using the Neurographica pattern in your artwork. Just like all the other Neurographica courses, the main goal is to access your inner wisdom. In this course, however, we are also working with images or objects of the world around us. We explore the things that exist around us with the help of drawing.
You will learn how to use Neurographica as a sketching method, to quickly capture what is important in an art composition. This course teaches the Algorithm #4 principles as they were originally created and instructed by the founder of the Psychology of Creativity Institute, Pavel Piskarev (more about Pavel HERE).
Each class includes a short introductory lecture as well as guided drawing processes. Compared to other courses, this course includes a lot more drawing practice, so that students will actively develop their drawing skills. Students will learn to draw faster and build confidence, which then allows them to experiment more freely with the method.
We also explore the Neurographic Line and Principle of Rounding as elements that can be integrated into all kinds of different artworks and art processes.
This course includes a Certificate of Completion from the Psychology of Creativity Institute. In order to receive this certificate, you will submit coursework and receive a private feedback session with your instructor Antje Howard.
This certificate alone does NOT however grant you permission to teach and/or use Neurographica® with clients. For this purpose, you will need to acquire higher certifications, including the professional "Specialist certification". Please contact me for more information.

Bonus Session 1 - Portrait of someone you admire
One of the practices that we work with in NeuroSketching is drawing on top of portraits and photographs of people.
First of all, we will work with our own photos and create different versions of self-portraits that allow us to experience our own image in a very profound way.
But it is of course also possible to create portraits of other people. This is a drawing process that I truly enjoy and wanted to share in this course after I had several questions from students.
Drawing on top of someone else's face can feel a bit daunting, but it is a wonderful process of self-reflection. In the end, we always work with our own subconscious, and it can be very interesting to reflect on all the things we project on other people.
Working with the image of someone you admire also asks questions about you, your self-image, the things you believe about yourself and others, the limitations you create for yourself, and it can help to overcome those. Using the face of another person as a mirror, you will learn to see yourself with different eyes.
Bonus Session 2 - Ancestral Portrait
In 2020 I started exploring the practice of NeuroPortraits further as part of my Ancestral Arts program. Here, we draw a portrait of a known ancestor and connect to this ancestor through the drawing. This work can go very deep and I find it very important to create a safe and appropriate space for it. This is why I created what I call an "Art Ceremony".
Because this work is very important to me, I included a bonus session from the last Ancestral Arts course, so that you can experience this work in the right setting.
Complete as a self-paced course with recordings.
This course consists of 4 recorded classes of around 2 hours each. Each class introduces a short theory part and offers several drawing exercises to practice the method.
You will also receive access to a Private Facebook Group where you can ask further questions and connect with fellow students.
This course also includes two bonus drawing processes - a 1 hour drawing of a person you admire, and a 2 hour Ancestral Portrait Art Ceremony. I recommend to watch these bonuses after you have done the self-portrait (class 3) because they deepen and expand on the portrait drawing process.
The Certificate of Completion is included in this course. I will provide personal feedback for each student, in the form of a private video recording where I discuss your drawings, as well as your process, and will give you additional tips and suggestions on how you can deepen your process. I will also answer any additional questions you may have.
In order to receive the certificate you need to send a minimum of 3/a maximum of 5 of your drawings for review. You will receive personal feedback on your drawings, which need to be submitted together with detailed descriptions (via email).
The Certificate of Completion will be accepted by the Creativity of Psychology Institute as well as any other Neurographica Instructors. Please contact me with any other questions about the certification.
There is no time limitation for when to send in the course work for your certificate. You must however have studied at least one entire course (4 classes) and completed the coursework.
The Course Certificate does NOT however grant you permission to teach and/or use Neurographica® with clients.
What is included in the course?

What participants are saying:
"The Neurosketching course has led me into completely new ways of looking at things. I now live creativity differently - much more naturally. My understanding of it has changed. There is now a completely different joy and effortlessness behind it.
My perception of the environment has also changed - the overall picture, the details - their individual meanings for me. Very exciting how the subconscious feels "encouraged" to show things spontaneously. Just let it flow.
Especially the 7 minute quick sketches; each additional one of these have melted away my perfectionism, my own demands.
Simply said - thinking differently 😊 Magnificent.
Thank you for the wonderful art."
